Founder 

Tanya Church

Tanya's love and passion is for the clogging program, but she promotes all forms of dance. Tanya has been a clogging competition teacher for over 30 years. Tanya also teaches the creative movement classes for 2-3 year olds. Tanya's choreography has won "Top" overall solo, duet, trio, group awards, the highest score of the day awards, judges' choice awards! Most recently, Tanya's clogging production "Pitbull Remix" won 1st place overall, National Champions, at Showstoppers Nationals. Tanya is the owner and founder of DanZQuest, now in their 24th year!

Meagan Hutchings

With 18 years of competitive choreography experience in tap, modern/lyrical/ ballet, and jazz Meagan is a seasoned instructor at DanZQuest. She currently teaches competitive senior company classes in ballet, tap, and jazz. Meagan also teaches the recreational tap, jazz, and ballet classes. Meagan's love is contemporary, and she has been recognized for her choreography at regional competitions.  Meagan has also won several "Top" teacher awards, diamond placements, high platinum placements, entertainment awards, and overall awards.

Nic Fennell

Nic has been dancing since he was five years old and has experience in hip-hop, ballroom, and modern. He competed for a few years before he decided his competition days were over.  His love for dance has brought him back to the studio, where he is teaching the recreational and competitive hip-hop program. Nic's choreography has won diamond placements, high platinum placements, and high gold!  Nic's philosophy and belief is that everyone can learn to dance! Nic has been teaching at DanZQuest for 15 years.

Hannah Joyce

Hannah has been dancing since the age of 2 years old and has taken tap, jazz, and clogging.  Hannah has been a competitive clogger since the age of 5 and has competed in group dances, productions, and as a soloist as well. Hannah was a member of the DanZQuest competitive clogging team for 14 years. This will be Hannah's 10th season at DanZQuest.  Hannah assists in the company clogging program. Hannah has known Tanya her whole life and enjoys teaching dance at DanZQuest.

Laurel Bishop

Laurel started her competitive dance career with DanZQuest in 7th grade and danced tap, jazz, ballet, modern/lyrical, and hip hop until she graduated. Laurel taught mini-company tap/jazz and recreational classes at DanZQuest during her time as a student! She continued competitively dancing on ECU’s Club Dance Team through college. Laurel is excited to start her 5th season with the DanZQuest team. Laurel will be teaching the senior lyrical and cardio classes.

Office Manager

Deidra Thomas

Deidra Thomas is a former DanZQuest parent. Deidra spent many years watching her daughter dance competitively with DanZQuest. Deidra took on the role of desk secretary after her daughter graduated. The students love seeing Deidra's smiling face at the desk each week. Deidra will start her 8th year working at DanZQuest this season.
